From the foot of the Pryor Mountains to the edge of the Big Horn Canyon in Montana stretches the Dryhead Ranch. They are privileged to care for 21,000 acres of native grassland country. This horseback riding adventure offers variety and challenge.
They own 30 head of mares and 50-60 young colts that are 2’s, 3’s and 4 years old in various stages of training. The family breaks and trains these colts who have been born and nurtured in this mountainous country. In the spring you will help trail the ranch horses from their Wyoming winter pastures to the Dryhead Ranch in Montana. The Fall Horse drive will be taking selected horses back to Wyoming for the winter. A warm home cooked meal and a comfortable bed awaits you back at the ranch each night.
