Offering adventure, comfort and delight to its guests, this ranch in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem has been operated by the Kelsey family for 70 years. Enjoy Montana’s wide open spaces, breath taking vistas and an abundance of wildlife all from the ranch, amid thousands of acres of Gallatin National Forest.

Horseback riding is the heartbeat of the ranch and all of the horses are bred, born, raised and trained here. With morning and afternoon rides and twice weekly all day rides for the more confident, there are both trails and horses to suit every rider. For those wanting to test their equestrian skills, the weekly Gymkhana offers fun and friendly games on horseback, a particular favourite for families.

The many streams and rivers offer excellent opportunities for fishing and the private trout pond is a great place to tune up your casting or fish with children. The vast and varied surroundings are perfect for hiking and there are additional nearby activities for the more adventurous including white water rafting and zip lining. You can also enjoy a cool and refreshing dip on a summers day in the mountain stream fed swimming pool. Children are welcomed and loved at the ranch with plenty to keep them busy with the dedicated staff, if parents chose to enjoy separate activities. There are also adult only weeks available towards the end of the season.

Cosy log cabins are comfortably furnished, ranging from one to four bedrooms featuring a wood stove or fireplace. The ranch lodge is the social centre of the stay, where you can enjoy happy hour, meals and relaxing by the fire. The wide porch is also a great place to relax in a rocking chair and take in the Rocky Mountain backdrop! Meals are served family style focusing on fresh and local ingredients and there are often cookouts and campfires too. Evenings can be spent relaxing around the ranch, or more lively boot scootin’ at the square dance if you choose.
