MAJESTIC RANCH

The Majestic Ranch is located in beautiful Southern Colorado. The property is adjacent to the pristine La Plata Mountain Range, between Durango and Cortez, and the famous Mesa Verde National Park is only 12 miles away.Your own horse will be assigned to you at the start of each week and you’ll have a chance to improve your riding skills every day. Each ride gets progressively longer until you’re given the option to go on an all-day or half-day ride each Friday. The ranch offers free riding lessons in the arena to improve skills and prepare guests for those longer/faster rides.

During the summer season, when Bear Creek is high enough, people interested in fly fishing are given the option of doing an all-day ride and fishing trip. On Thursdays, kids participate in a rodeo, which becomes a skills day during adult weeks later in the year. Keeping safety as the primary concern, the wranglers give new and more experienced riders opportunities to challenge themselves with faster rides, team penning and cattle drives.

This is an all-inclusive experience. While staying here is certainly relaxing, you will be kept busy participating in the scheduled activities that start as early as 7:00 AM and end around 9:00 or 10:00 PM. Enjoy, mountain biking, hiking, paintball and laser tag, white-water rafting, fly fishing, archery skeet shooting, gym and much more. Or just relax in the sauna, hot tub or swimming pool.

There is a great kids program and all children from ages six and up can ride trails while younger tots are given the option to ride in the arena.The rooms, food, and facilities are top notch, with a selection of cabin and luxury suite accommodations all excellently furnished with private facilities and even Temper-pedic mattresses to ensure a sound sleep. The food is diverse, hearty, yet healthy, and the ranch is part of the ‘farm to table’ cooperative so you can be sure the ranch is using the freshest ingredients, the chefs catering to all dietary restrictions, allergies, and tastes.
