A perfect holiday for all horse and wildlife lovers. It caters for all level of riders from experts to never ridden.

This safari will give you the opportunity to explore the wilds of Africa on horseback! Come here for a chance to ride across over 20,000 acres of reserve and conservancy: you are likely to see hippo, giraffe, zebra and all sorts of plains game. You might also see leopard, crocodiles, buffalo and aardvarks on your morning ride. Away from the game viewing you can also take part in polocrosse, horseback swimming or Western Games. You will get up close with some of the continent’s most amazing animals: it feels a very long way from your normal riding.

You will be based in the historic family estate, formerly know as the Horizon Triple B Ranch: Both the lodge rooms are en-suite with either a shower/ bath or both. There are also seven double rooms housed in rondavels which are the traditional African dwelling: three of these suites overlook the lake and have a small veranda,. There are also two double rooms in the main lodge. There is a large living area, dining room and large stoep (or veranda) for you to enjoy and mix with your fellow guests. Three delicious meals are served a day with afternoon tea before the ride. All drinks are complimentary. Special diet requirements are catered for. The lodge has a swimming pool alongside the lake.

While you are staying at the Signature Safari Lodger, there is an option to spend a few nights at Camp Davidson for a small additional cost. Camp Davidson is modelled on the old ‘outspan’ camps captured on so many films and somehow epitomising the dream of an African Safari. Beautiful decked canvas tents are nestled amongst the sandstone ridges overlooking grassy game filled valleys. Unlike the originals, each luxury tent has modern conveniences such as en-suite shower and Wi-Fi. The camp is completely run on solar energy and has a small swimming pool.
