Sundance Ranch

This family owned ranch is located in one of the sunniest spots in British Columbia, on the edge of the interior plateau region, overlooking the spectacular Thompson River Valley and only a 4-hour drive from Vancouver.The ranch will carefully select the right horse for the individual rider and offers beginner, intermediate, or advanced morning and afternoon rides each day, with an evening ride often being announced during the warm summer months.

Whether you’re confident and enjoy galloping across the countryside, or a first time rider that would like to take it slow and easy, they can offer something to suit you with their responsive horses and experienced wranglers making it a fantastic ride. The scenery and views are breathtaking, and the trails surrounding the ranch will take you through some of the best and most unspoilt spots on your 2 to 3 hour rides.

Other ranch activities include swimming in the heated outdoor pool, horseshoe pitch, movie lounge, games room, and a nine-hole golf course and excellent fishing only 15 minutes from the ranch. Massages can also be arranged if you would like some extra pampering during your stay.

All the outdoor fun of the day builds up quite a healthy appetite and their talented chef cooks delicious meals from classic charcoal-grilled steaks and burgers to sophisticated international cuisine. Aiming for comfort food – kicked up a notch, guests agree that their food is almost as good as the riding!

The licensed dining room overlooks the pastures where the horses spend the night grazing and cooling off among the sprinklers, a sight that you could never get tired of. The ranch is on a single level, with all rooms being connected by a covered wooden boardwalk and all have private bathrooms and air conditioning for your comfort. After a long day, you will be happy to relax with a good book and talk about the day’s events with fellow guests. Or for the more lively - an evening in the adult’s only BYOB bar lounge is a great place to party, with music and dancing at the weekend.
