Vee Bar Ranch

Nestling in the Centennial Valley in the shadows of the Snowy Range Mountains, this historical guest/working ranch, actually listed on the Register of Historic Places, prides itself on true western hospitality and is sure to please your inner cowboy or cowgirl!

Activities centre around their horseback riding, with morning and afternoon rides, weekly all day rides and overnight campout in tepees and often cattle work at the families neighbouring ranch – there is certainly a varied schedule. Riding ranges from grassy meadows to mountains and National Forest.

Other activities available are hiking, hayrides, trap shooting and river tubing. Fishing in the Little Laramie River is sure to keep the fishing enthusiasts coming back for more!  One mile of the Little Laramie River flows through the Vee Bar, and fishing is exclusively for ranch guests.  The river is swarming with Brown and Brook Trout and equipment is available for guests to use.

Accommodations are in cabins or suites all with en-suite facilities, they have been thoughtfully decorated to preserve the western heritage and are rustic, while offering the modern comforts and conveniences. The Suites are within walking distance to the lodge and sit along the banks of the Laramie River, whereas the cabins are more secluded and nestled among trees, further away from the lodge.

Buffet style meals are prepared from scratch and normally served in the main lodge dining room. At certain times of the week you will get the treat of an all American Picnic or BBQ cookout. Hearty western or gourmet meals are accompanied with fresh salads, homemade breads and pastries, fruits and deserts – each meal appealing to the appetite of young and old alike.
