Goosewing Ranch

This stunning ranch is part of the Yellowstone Plateau, situated only an hour from Jackson, with stunning views all around. At 7,400 feet, the valley is the host to some of North America’s most spectacular game: elk, moose, mountain sheep, antelope, bear, eagles, geese, cranes, and much more, not to mention fantastic scenery. The Gros Ventre River, home to native cutthroat trout, runs through the meadows of this historic ranch.

There are horses for all abilities and lots of amazing scenery rides to do, and an arena for instruction  as well as the opportunity to participate in cattle team penning, the choice is yours whether you spend all day in the saddle, or a few hours, but make sure you bring your camera.  Once a week there is an opportunity to be taken into Jackson for some shopping, visit a rodeo (in season), or maybe a white water rafting trip. 

There are many activities you can do at the ranch as well as the riding such as, roping, fly fishing, mountain biking, target shooting, hiking, archery, or take a wildlife trip in the polarise ranger. Take advantage of the swimming pool and a soak in the hot tub, or relax in the sauna. This ranch caters for children with a great children’s programme for ages 6 and over, there is even a tepee that can be reserved for a family night under the stars. 

The lodging includes eight private guest cabins and three larger 2-bedroom cabins for bigger families. Complimentary wireless internet is provided throughout the Ranch.The food is as good as the scenery, as the host is a passionate Frenchman who loves to serve exquisite food and a menu of beer and wine which guests can purchase.
